Summer is my favorite time of the year and I like to spend as much time as possible outside. I will also be using what little free time I have to continue work on the 100 Heart of Darkness illustrations. In order to make the best use of my time but still keep this blog interesting, which is something I truly enjoy doing, I've decided on a summer schedule. This is not set in stone, but for the most part I plan on sticking to this for the rest of hot months.
MONDAY: I'm going to start a semi-regular feature called "Book Junkie." Often, I've been very curious about seeking out or ordering a book online, but uncertain as to whether or not I should risk the funds without an opportunity to take a closer look at the book. So, for the "Book Junkie" posts, I'll be selecting some of the more unique and hard to find books from my own library and sharing information about them as well as lots of photos. My hope is that others who might be searching for these titles on eBay or ABEBooks or even Amazon might find these posts and learn more about each book so they can make wise choices.
TUESDAY: Heart of Darkness illustration.
WEDNESDAY: Some sort of post on book covers and book design.
THURSDAY: Heart of Darkness illustration.
FRIDAY: The regular "Friday diversions" posts, which really can be just about anything.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY: Usually no posting during the summer, but I will occasionally post sketches, other art, and maybe some photography.
As always, I genuinely appreciate the visits and the comments from everyone who checks in with this blog. It has been a great experience so far. Hard to believe that in early August, it will have been three years already.
