SKETCHBOOKS: moleskine 001

Something seemed to click into place with that last Green Knight and the next big chunk of the sketchbook is devoted to exploring these knights. Rather than restrict myself specifically to the actual Knights of the Round Table, I reached far and wide for all sorts of knights, including creating quite a few of my own. This spread also shows the format I would settle on for a bit. Since much of the ink I was using bled through to the page behind it quite badly, I would paint over the back of each of those pages to prevent it and would paint the name of the knight on each as a kind of title page. I like how it looks, and I enjoyed exploring different fonts and logos for each title.

A bit of a stereotype, this, but here is my Black Knight.
