I'd say, pick a happier book for the next project, but, as my world lit students continually point out, all literature is sad & tragic.
If all else fails, I'd be glad to send you some pictures of our cats as inspiration of happy material! :)
Actually Sandy I have two things in mind, both of which are original and not just illustrations for classic literature. I expect to begin work in earnest on each of them in either January or February, and after some consultation with my agent I will have a clearer idea of whether or not either of these is fit for publication. One of them is perhaps a bit creepy and horrific, but in a more fantastic way, while the other is definitely more lighthearted. Poignant, but with moments of great humor and levity.
Ooooh, can't wait to see what's coming next. You are a constant source of inspiration!
