In learning how to edit myself, how to hold back, how to let the art do more with less, I feel like I've become almost a different person. It is still terrifying at times because it is easier to work a piece to death with lines and details and let that visual noise support the piece, or at least fool the view into thinking the piece is strong. I have a long long way to go before I feel confident in this new simplicity but there are a few pieces where I think I really nailed it.
