Ha, I like that mention of a "little dishevelled sun" very much! Actually, the sun and the stars and other celestial bodies were already on the paper. This is from an old kids picture book about stars. I just added in the clouds and lightning because I liked how all the suns and stars looked like bits of an explosion.
