Titus, that void comment did me so much good. I was not happy with the black background of the previous piece. The black seemed to enfold and enclose Ahab and the whale, which is not what I wanted. I wanted to show, as you wrote, the two of them enclosing a void. A futile pursuit with no goal centered on emptiness and nothingness.
they do look meaner like that...
