Title: Like desperadoes they tugged and they strained, till the welcome cry was heard — "Stand up, Tashtego! — give it to him!" The harpoon was hurled.

  1. Thank you Hannah. My greatest regret about this blog is that visitors don't get to see the pieces in person, in reality. This one looks so-so on the computer screen, but it is really quite large in reality and on this strange, almost onion-skin paper which lends a delicate translucence to some of the ink. For now, I suppose, the digital version will have to do.

  2. Congrats on commencing the 2nd half of the book! I finished the book months ago but I'm continuing to enjoy it through this blog. I love this picture of Tashtego.

  3. Thank you Ram. Queequeg still remains my favorite to depict, but I'm starting to really enjoy drawing Tashtego as well. I feel like there is still so much to explore visually with him. I'm sure there will be many more to come.
