Ha! Mordicai, it's good to know I can always depend on you for unvarnished, no-bullshit commentary. I truly appreciate that.
But still, when the book comes out next fall you have to buy it. Maybe for all those skulls, but mostly because it has to sell well so someone will finally let me illustrate Lindsay's "A Voyage to Arcturus" or Eddison's "The Worm Ouroboros."
Sandy, in the first one, I think I got a bit carried way with the writing and it ended up looking, to my eyes at least, a little silly and almost weirdly supernatural. So this time, I was thinking a lot about infographics and medical charts and how something inscrutable might be represented there. It turned out perfectly.
I don't care about The Heart of Darkness as a book but these skulls are sweeeeeet.
ReplyDeleteLove the language of the measurements!
