  3. Easily my favorite, so far. You'll always have me at "dark," especially when brutality meets beauty in such a way that calms even as it stimulates a perhaps deeper kind of mental imbalance.

  4. Perhaps my foolish little secret is that much of the red ink on this piece was the accidental result of me tipping the bottle and then frantically blotting things up. So in a sense the completion of this image does owe quite a bit to a dangerous sense of imbalance, both physical and mental. I know I let out a howl of despair when it first happened, but was awed by the result.
