Because how many times am I really ever going to get the opportunity to paint a gigantic whale vomiting?

Oh, love this one! And Jonah like a little idol, which is why he was going there anyway.

Excellent point Titus, I had not connected that idea of Jonah looking like a little idol (perhaps even a little bit like old Yojo) but I think you are very right. And of course, that connection to Jonah's own story makes it all the more intriguing.

One of the many things I love the most about comments from visitors to the blog is that they often help me see things in my own art that I was not always aware of. That is a wonderful experience, as is seeing the art again through another's eyes.
