  1. I absolutely love this picture--the design elements are really bold, but it still manages to convey a subtle emotional atmosphere. I feel really sorry for the whale in this image. That single eye seems like it's saying so much--like "Why? Why are you all trying to hurt me?" Definitely one of my favorites from your recent batch of images.

  2. Thank you Cyndie, that is indeed very kind of you. I'm not sure I would ever describe myself that way, but I do think I've managed to make a few pretty intriguing images along the way here.

  3. Thank you Rudy, the eye was actually the very first part of this image that I envisioned, and also what I drew first. I really did want it to convey that sense of pain, sadness, and almost a kind of resignation. This one actually turned out better than I had imagined it would, which is unusual.

  4. Lizzy, I think I might have almost inadvertently but with partial intention, created a rather disturbing and violent image. This illustration's power seems to grow with every day, which is quite strange, and the more I look at it the more powerful and traumatic it becomes. It's all very fascinating and a little alarming.
